Indianapolis for his work on behalf of his neighbors and his
community.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing Mike Rodman of
Indianapolis for his work on behalf of his neighbors and his
community.
Whereas, Michael Rodman has served the citizens of Marion
County with distinction as the Marion County Treasurer and County
Commissioner from 2005 until this year;
Whereas, Mr. Rodman's history of leadership in community and
civic affairs is long, broad and distinguished, as exemplified by his
membership on the boards of many organizations and commissions,
including service as President of the Board of the School
Commissioners of the City of Indianapolis, as President of the Board
of College Mentors for Kids, as Chairman of the Board of Bridges to
Success, as Vice President of the Board of the Marion County
Metropolitan Development Commission, as Treasurer of Our Savior
Lutheran Academy, and as a member of the Boards of the Indiana
Nature Conservancy, the Riley Foundation, the Indiana School for the
Blind, the Indiana Nature Conservancy, the Boys and Girls Club,
United Way, the Madame Walker Urban Life Center, 100 Black Men,
the Marion County YMCA, the Indianapolis Urban League, the
Indianapolis Public Schools Foundation, and others; and,
Whereas, Mr. Rodman currently serves as Chairman of the Board
of Indiana Landmarks, the nation's pre-eminent statewide historic
preservation organization, leading it through a period of transformative
change: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes the
dedication and commitment of Michael Rodman to his neighbors and
his community, thanks him for his hard work on their behalf, and
wishes him be best of luck in his future endeavors.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Michael Rodman.
