RESOLUTION No. 2
Citations Affected: Article 4 of the Indiana Constitution.
Synopsis: Redistricting. Provides that an affirmative vote of at least
two-thirds of the members elected to the House of Representatives and
the Senate is required to pass a redistricting bill. Requires the general
assembly to establish legislative districts rather than apportion the
number of senators and representatives in districts.
Effective: This proposed amendment must be agreed to by two
consecutive general assemblies and ratified by a majority of the state's
voters voting on the question to be effective.

Apportionment.

RESOLUTION No 2
A JOINT RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to Article 4 of
the Indiana Constitution concerning the general assembly.
(1) Fix
(2) Establish districts according to the number of inhabitants in each district, as revealed by that federal decennial census. The territory in each district shall be contiguous.
(b) Notwithstanding section 25 of this article, an affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the members elected to each House is necessary to pass a bill to enact a law described in subsection (a).
