        A HOUSE RESOLUTION recognizing the Jay County High School cheerleading squad.
    

    Whereas, Today's cheerleaders soar through the air, build human pyramids, somersault over and over again, and catch their teammates as they return to the ground;

    Whereas, The Jay County High School cheerleading squad members have proven that they excel at all these difficult maneuvers;

    Whereas, Just as in any athletic endeavor, the members of the Jay County High School cheerleading squad work tirelessly to maintain their level of excellence;


    Whereas, Since Jay County High School opened in the fall of 1975, the cheerleading squad has participated in the Indiana State Fair cheerleading contest every year, placing in the top four 28 times, finishing second ten times, and winning the competition seven times;

    Whereas, It is through hard work and dedication that the Jay County High School cheerleaders have achieved the level of success demonstrated by the awards bestowed upon them this season; and

    Whereas, It is fitting and proper that excellence be rewarded with special recognition: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives congratulates the members of the Jay County High School cheerleading squad on their many accomplishments and wishes them continued success in all their future endeavors.
    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit copies of this resolution to squad members Jenna Barber, Alexis Cook, Makayla Jobe, Lauren Runkle, Charis Beitler, Brea Burcham, Olivia Cash, Cydney Huey, Kaitlyn Miller, Ericka Reynolds, Morgan Brown, Bryttani Knight, Rhianon Mills, Alexis Murrell, Carli Ostrowski, Chelsea Russell, Laurann Schoenlein, Miranda Hibbard, Mallory Marshall, Madison Miller, Erica Swingley, Sierra Trobridge, Menausha VanSkyock, and Katie Witt, coaches Andrea Oswalt, Abby Arnold, Jenny Stout, and Mindy Weaver, principal Phil Ford, and superintendent Timothy D. Long, Ed.D.
