    A HOUSE RESOLUTION urging the Legislative Council to assign to the Tax and Finance Commission the topic of changes to Indiana's tax structure.
    
    Whereas, Legislators require an understanding of the direction in which recent fiscal policy has moved the state in order to make sound decisions for the future; and,

    Whereas, This includes above all an understanding of how different socio-economic groups are impacted by the state's tax policies; Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives urges the Legislative Council to assign to the Tax and Finance Commission for interim study the topic of recent changes to Indiana's tax structure with a particular focus on whether the tax code is becoming more regressive,

more progressive, or maintaining a consistent impact across socio- economic groups.
