        A HOUSE RESOLUTION urging the legislative council to assign to a study committee the topic of the state coroner system.
    

    Whereas, The office of coroner requires additional study: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. That the legislative council is urged to assign to a study committee the topic of the state coroner system.
    SECTION 2. That the committee, if assigned the topic, shall study the following:
        (1) An insufficient number of forensic pathologists.
        (2) The requirement to report all deaths to the coroner's office.
        (3) The Indiana Organ Procurement Organization's (IOPO) relationship with the coroner.
        (4) Any other topics as assigned by the legislative council.
    SECTION 3. That the committee, if assigned the topic, shall operate under the direction of the legislative council and that the committee shall issue such reports as directed by the council.
