A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring the Indiana
University Crimson All-Girl Cheerleaders on winning the 2013
Universal Cheerleading Association College Championship.
Whereas, The Indiana University Crimson All-Girl
Cheerleaders won the 2013 Division 1A All-Girl National
Championship in Orlando, Florida;
Whereas, This is the Crimson Squad's second national
title in a row;
Whereas, The Crimson Squad received a full paid bid to
the National Championships;
Whereas, In the finals, the Crimson Squad defeated
universities from all over the country, including the
University of Minnesota, Rutgers University, the University
of South Florida, San Diego University, the University of
Oklahoma, and Florida State University;
Whereas, The team consists of 20 cheerleaders, 14 of
whom are from Indiana, and 5 coaching staff members;
Whereas, Crimson Squad members Angela Stilwell, Caity Hinshaw, Natalie Skizas, Kirby Lynch, and Chrissie Day were selected to be part of the 2013 Team USA All-Girl Squad, which will defend its World Championship gold
medal for the third consecutive year this April;
Whereas, Team USA's Head Coach is Tony Nash, who is
also the Head Coach of the Crimson Squad;
Whereas, The Crimson Squad won multiple awards at the
Universal Cheerleader Association Summer Camp, including
the 2012 Most Collegiate Award, recognition as a Superior
Team, and earning 1st place for sideline; and
Whereas, The repeated success of the Crimson Squad is
attributed to the impressive talent, dedication, passion, and
hard-working attitude displayed by the coaching staff and
cheerleaders alike during the countless hours of training,
practice, and competition: Therefore,
SECTION 1. The Indiana General Assembly honors the Indiana University Crimson All-Girl Cheerleaders on winning the 2013 Universal Cheerleading Association College Championship.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to all members of the coaching staff and Crimson Squad.
