Jacqueline Bowman.

MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION memorializing Randall and
Jacqueline Bowman.
Whereas, Randall Kevin Bowman was born on January
17, 1956 in Logansport, Indiana. He graduated from
Logansport High School, where he was a member of the
basketball and wrestling teams. In addition, he maintained
a part-time job at McDonalds, where he met his future wife,
Jacqueline Birnell. They were blessed with two daughters,
Katina, in 1975, and Jennifer, in 1977;
Whereas, Jacqueline Ann Bowman, daughter of a
military service member, was born on December 20, 1958 in
Logansport, Indiana. She spent a majority of her childhood
in Walton, Indiana where she attended Lewis Cass High
School. Jacky also worked at McDonalds, where she met her
husband Randy Bowman;
Whereas, Randy and Jacky both served their community working for the Cass County Sheriff Department. Jacky eventually became a dispatcher for the Logansport Police Department;
Whereas, Randy and Jacky both took jobs with Prisoner Transportation Services of America, a prisoner extradition company;
Whereas, On August 4, 2009, while transporting
prisoners in eastern Georgia, Randy and Jacky's van struck
a semi-trailer, killing the couple and one prisoner;
Whereas, Being a devoted father and grandfather, Randy
enjoyed vacationing with his family, whether it was fishing
with his grandsons or listening to NASCAR races with his
daughter. Randy's smile and sense of humor brightened the
lives of those around him, just as his charitable spirit
impacted close friends and family;
Whereas, Jacky's love for cooking and family combined
into a symphony of smiles and satisfied stomachs, and her
time on the lake with family etched eternal memories into the
hearts of her loved ones; and
Whereas, Randall and Jacqueline Bowman were well
respected in the law enforcement community, dutifully
serving Cass County and Logansport, and their memory lives
on in the hearts and minds of family and friends: Therefore,
SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate memorializes Randall and
Jacqueline Bowman.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to
transmit a copy of this Resolution to Katina Monroe.
