An Act relative to public safety employees.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, all public safety employees of the commonwealth or any municipality, and any emergency medical technicians, including those employed by a private organization or unit, shall submit to a random drug and alcohol testing program for those employees, which meets standards promulgated by the secretary of the executive office of public safety and security.
