An Act providing for a certain payment by the Teachers' Retirement
System.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary the Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement Board shall pay to Thomas P. Johnson all interest accrued on the sum of $38,000 which sum was paid to him on December 31, 2002 as reimbursement for sixteen years of back payments which were unlawfully withheld from his retirement allowance. Said interest shall be calculated for the period commencing on March 31, 1986 through and including December 31, 2002 at a rate of interest as set forth in Section 6(I) of Chapter 231 of the General Laws
