An Act relative to sales and excise tax exemptions for disabled veterans.



Whereas, The deferred operation for this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to make , therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.


                Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Whereas, the deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to allow disabled veterans access to sales and excise tax exemptions, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Section 1 of chapter 60A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 101, after the word "disabled" the following words:--and who qualify for and are therefore entitled to display thereon the distinctive number plates authorized by section 2 chapter 90.
