RESOLVE


Resolved,

            That a special commission, consisting of three members of the House of Representatives, including the Chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means or his or her designee, three members of the Senate, including the Chair of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means or his or her designee, the State Treasurer or his designee, the Secretary of Administration and Finance or his designee, and the Executive Director of the State Lottery Commission, is hereby established for the purpose of making an investigation and study of the current lottery distribution formula, specifically to determine and insure that cities and towns which support the state lottery at the highest level are conversely receiving higher levels of the lottery revenue distribution. Said commission shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study, and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives on or before the first Wednesday in November, two thousand and ten..
