An Act relative to the liability of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.



                Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 38 of Chapter 161A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 official edition, is hereby amended in the first paragraph by inserting after the word “company” the word:— except that in any action brought against the Authority, the Authority shall not be liable for punitive damages.
