An Act to eliminate antiquated language in health care
requirements.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1 Section 51 of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is herby amended by striking out third paragraph
SECTION 2.Section 51D of said chapter 111, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding, at the end of the first paragraph, the following sentence:-
Any hospital that meets the admission and discharge regulations, including the notice for hospital discharge appeals rights, of the federal centers for medicare and medicaid services for a medicare patient shall be exempt from the provisions of this section.
