An Act authorizing the lease of certain parcels of land to the town of Milton.



                Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

            Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, by the Department of Conservation and Recreation, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease agreement with the Town of Milton, by the Department of Parks and Recreation, for certain parcels of land currently under the jurisdiction and control of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, more commonly known as Houghton’s Pond Ball Fields located off Blue Hill River Road in the town of Milton.  Said land consists of the playing fields including four tennis courts and three baseball/softball diamonds and including the existing adjacent parking area.  The term of said lease agreement shall be for not less than ten (10) years, with an option to renew for up to ten (10) additional years.  The Town of Milton shall pay a nominal consideration in the amount of one ($1.00) dollar.  All costs, fees and expenses relating to the care and maintenance for such property shall be paid in full by the lessee.
