An Act providing for enhanced protection in the marking of
underground utility lines.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 40 of chapter 82 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence at the end of the third paragraph:-
In providing the designations required by this section, the company shall not utilize personnel other than the company’s own permanent employees who have been trained to perform such work.
