A bill to amend 1895 PA 3, entitled
"The general law village act,"
by amending section 4 of chapter III (MCL 63.4), as added by 1998
PA 255.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
CHAPTER III
Sec. 4. An individual who is a registered elector of the
township in which the village is located and who is a resident of
the village may vote at any election in the village. For purposes
of registering to vote and voting at an election or special
election on the question of imposing a new millage or increasing or
renewing an existing millage on real property only, a person is
considered a resident of the village to be affected by the result
of that election if that person owns real property located in that
village.
