HOUSE BILL No. 4095

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

 

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

 

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 43536b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 43536b. (1) If a license to take game under this part is

 

issued through a lottery, the department shall give first priority

 

in that lottery to any veteran who submits an application in that

 

lottery.

 

     (2) The department may demand proof of eligibility under

 

subsection (1).

 

     (3) As used in this section, "veteran" means an individual who

 

served in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard

 

and who was discharged or released from his or her service with an

 

honorable or general discharge.
