HOUSE BILL No. 4110

 

January 22, 2009, Introduced by Rep. LeBlanc and referred to the Committee on Government Operations.

 

     A bill to designate an official Scottish tartan of this state.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1. (1) The tartan derived from the thread count in

 

subsection (2) is designated as the official Scottish tartan of

 

this state.

 

     (2) The thread count for the official Scottish tartan of this

 

state, which may be read by Scottish hand weavers and textile

 

designers, is as follows:

 

     BG18* W2 BG8 W2 T8 DG2 T4 DG24 DR4 DG4*

 

     (3) In the thread count description contained in subsection

 

(2), an asterisk denotes 1/2 the total threads at the turning

 

points.
