A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1505.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1505. The board of a school district or public school
academy shall ensure that instruction on issues pertaining to diet
and health is provided to all pupils in grades 3 to 12 at least 3
times each school year. The instruction shall be provided by a
person who is licensed under part 183A of the public health code,
1978 PA 368, MCL 333.18351 to 333.18363, as a dietitian or
nutritionist.
