HOUSE BILL No. 4342
March 12, 2015, Introduced by Reps. Irwin, Dianda, Chirkun, Singh, Pettalia, Barrett and Kosowski and referred to the Committee on Government Operations.
A bill to provide for the official time followed in this
state; and to provide for the elimination of daylight savings time
in this state.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1. This entire state, including all political
subdivisions of this state, shall follow the standard time of the
zone in which it is located as provided for in the uniform time act
of 1966, 15 USC 260 to 267.
Sec. 2. As authorized in 15 USC 260a, this entire state,
including all political subdivisions of this state, is exempt from
and shall not follow daylight savings time or the advancement of
time as it is otherwise referred to.
