HOUSE BILL No. 4703

 

June 9, 2015, Introduced by Reps. Kivela, Faris, Howrylak, McBroom, Dianda and Lucido and referred to the Committee on Government Operations.

 

     A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled

 

"The management and budget act,"

 

(MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594) by adding section 280.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 280. Beginning October 1, 2015, if a state agency enters

 

into a procurement contract for services, the contract shall

 

provide specific performance criteria and cost parameters and that

 

the state agency may cancel the contract if the contractor fails to

 

meet the specific performance criteria or other requirements of the

 

contract. In addition, the state agency may cancel the contract at

 

any time if the contractor fails to comply with all applicable

 

local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
