A bill to amend 1974 PA 154, entitled
"Michigan occupational safety and health act,"
(MCL 408.1001 to 408.1094) by adding section 13a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 13a. If federal standards apply to a workplace activity,
a rule shall not be promulgated or enforced under this act that is
stricter than the applicable federal standard unless there is
specific statutory authority to promulgate or enforce more
stringent standards.
