HOUSE BILL NO. 5485
A bill to amend 1988 PA 457, entitled
"An act to provide certain immunity from civil liability to certain institutions of higher education and health facilities and employees of institutions of higher education and health facilities,"
by amending section 1 (MCL 29.411).
the people of the state of michigan enact:
(a) "Health facility or agency" means that term as defined in article 17 of the public health code, Act No. 368 of the Public Acts of 1978, being sections 333.20101 to 333.22181 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.1978 PA 368, MCL 333.20101 to 333.22121.
(b) "Institution of higher education" means a college or university described in section 4, 5, or 6 of article VIII of the state constitution of 1963 or a junior college or community college established pursuant to section 7 of article VIII of the state constitution of 1963.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5477 (request no. 01038'23) of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
