HOUSE BILL No. 5594

April 26, 2016, Introduced by Rep. Townsend and referred to the Committee on Appropriations.

 

     A bill to amend 1966 PA 331, entitled

 

"Community college act of 1966,"

 

by amending section 166 (MCL 389.166), as added by 2008 PA 359.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 166. The aggregate outstanding obligation of all

 

agreements entered into under this chapter shall not exceed

 

$50,000,000.00 $100,000,000.00 in any calendar year, .allocated as

 

follows:

 

     (a) For all agreements entered into under this chapter as to

 

which program services are provided exclusively to employees in new

 

jobs who are employed outside of any community college district,

 

the aggregate outstanding obligation shall not exceed

 

$20,000,000.00 in any calendar year.

 

     (b) For all other agreements entered into under this chapter,

 

the aggregate outstanding obligation shall not exceed

 

$80,000,000.00 in any calendar year.
