     A bill to amend 1986 PA 268, entitled

 

"Legislative council act,"

 

(MCL 4.1101 to 4.1901) by adding sections 502 and 602.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 502. Before the final passage of each bill in the senate,

 

the director of the senate fiscal agency shall direct an employee

 

of the senate fiscal agency to prepare a fiscal impact analysis for

 

the members of the senate. The fiscal impact analysis shall contain

 

all of the following:

 

     (a) The impact of the pending legislation on revenues in this

 

state.

 

     (b) The funding source for any additional revenues required by

 

the bill.

 


     (c) The fiscal impact of the pending legislation on local

 

units of government.

 

     Sec. 602. Before the final passage of each bill in the house

 

of representatives, the director of the house fiscal agency shall

 

direct an employee of the house fiscal agency to prepare a fiscal

 

impact analysis for the members of the house of representatives.

 

The fiscal impact analysis shall contain all of the following:

 

     (a) The impact of the pending legislation on revenues in this

 

state.

 

     (b) The funding source for any additional revenues required by

 

the bill.

 

     (c) The fiscal impact of the pending legislation on local

 

units of government.
