HOUSE BILL No. 5813

 

 

September 7, 2016, Introduced by Rep. Glardon and referred to the Committee on Criminal Justice.

 

     A bill to amend 1968 PA 296, entitled

 

"An act to prohibit the aiding or abetting of violations of

juvenile court orders or to harbor juvenile runaways; and to

provide penalties for violation of this act,"

 

by amending section 1 (MCL 722.151).

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1. No person shall knowingly and wilfully willfully aid

 

or abet a child under the age of 17 18 years to violate an order of

 

a juvenile court or knowingly and wilfully willfully conceal or

 

harbor a juvenile runaways runaway who have has taken flight from

 

the custody of the court, their his or her parents, or his or her

 

legal guardian.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
