HOUSE BILL NO. 6208
A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled
"An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts,"
(MCL 722.111 to 722.128) by adding section 3m.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 3m. Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, both of the following apply:
(a) All staff members of a child care center, group child care home, or family child care home must be immunized by an authorized health professional, local health department, clinic, or other agency offering immunizations for diseases prescribed by the department of health and human services.
(b) An individual required to be immunized under subsection (1) shall provide proof of immunization to the child care center, group child care home, or family child care home at which the individual is employed and to the department of health and human services.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.
