HOUSE BILL No. 6465

 

September 21, 2010, Introduced by Reps. McMillin, Genetski and Lund and referred to the Committee on Intergovernmental and Regional Affairs.

 

     A bill to amend 1971 PA 140, entitled

 

"Glenn Steil state revenue sharing act of 1971,"

 

(MCL 141.901 to 141.921) by adding section 17c.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 17c. The state treasurer shall withhold 10% from the

 

total annual payment amount that a county, city, village, or

 

township receives under this act for each year or portion of a year

 

that the county, city, village, or township fails to comply with

 

the requirements of section 15a of the uniform budgeting and

 

accounting act, 1968 PA 2, MCL 141.435a.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 6464(request no.

 

07095'10) of the 95th Legislature is enacted into law.
