House Resolution No. 26.
A resolution to declare March 4, 2015, as Realtors Day in the state of Michigan.
Whereas, The Real Estate Association of Michigan was established on March 4, 1915; and
Whereas, Nearly 25,000 Michigan real estate broker and salesperson and appraiser licensees are currently members of that same, voluntary association, now known as the Michigan Realtors; and
Whereas, The Michigan Realtors is the recognized leading advocate for public policy and legal issues pertaining to the real estate industry supporting the great American foundation and tradition of private property ownership; and
Whereas, The Michigan Realtors is the premier statewide resource for industry collaboration of professional development, knowledge exchange, and business services; and
Whereas, The Michigan Realtors is affiliated with the National Association of Realtors and 42 local realtor associations across Michigan that continue to positively affect local communities, our state, and the nation through its strength in volunteer leadership; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, That the members of this legislative body declare March 4, 2015, as Realtors Day in the state of Michigan. We acknowledge the membership of the Michigan Realtors on the 100th anniversary of their founding.
