A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled
"The code of criminal procedure,"
(MCL 760.1 to 777.69) by adding section 6g to chapter V.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
CHAPTER V
Sec. 6g. Each district court of this state shall submit a
quarterly report to the state court administrative office that
provides data detailing the types of bail issued by the court to
individuals released as provided under this chapter for the
previous quarter. The report required under this section must
include an accounting of the number of individuals released on
personal recognizance or on money bail with a 10% deposit bond or a
cash bond for the full bail amount set by the court. The supreme
court may promulgate court rules regarding the type and format of
data that are required to be submitted to the state court
administrative office under this section.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
