SENATE BILL No. 1109
October 22, 2014, Introduced by Senators PROOS, PAPPAGEORGE, COLBECK, BOOHER, WALKER, NOFS, ANANICH, BRANDENBURG, PAVLOV, JONES, JANSEN and HANSEN and referred to the Committee on Education.
A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled
"The revised school code,"
(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1278e.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 1278e. If the department receives a certification from a
school district or public school academy under section 1278d that a
pupil has met the requirements under that section for a STEM
diploma endorsement, the department shall issue and transmit to the
school district or public school academy a STEM diploma endorsement
for the pupil.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless Senate Bill No.1110
of the 97th Legislature is enacted into law.
