1.2relating to natural resources; appropriating money for grants to the Red River
1.3Basin Commission.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; RED RIVER BASIN COMMISSION GRANTS.
1.6$100,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $100,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated
1.7from the general fund to the Board of Water and Soil Resources for grants to the Red
1.8River Basin Commission to match funding from North Dakota and Manitoba for advance
1.9flood mitigation, water quality and supply, and integrating water and natural resource
1.10management in the Red River of the North basin. The Red River Basin Commission
1.11shall submit a report on the expenditure of these funds to the Board of Water and Soil
1.12Resources and to the chairs of the legislative committees and divisions with jurisdiction
1.13over environment and natural resources policy and finance by February 15, 2013.
