1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to natural resources; appropriating money for a pilot program on water
1.3quality enhancement.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. APPROPRIATION; WATER QUALITY ENHANCEMENT CITIZEN
1.6PARTICIPATION PILOT PROGRAM.
1.7$100,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $100,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated from
1.8the clean water fund to the Pollution Control Agency for grants to the Star Lake Board
1.9established under Minnesota Statutes, section 103B.702. The pilot program shall focus
1.10on citizen partnerships with the Pollution Control Agency to develop and implement
1.11pollution prevention lake and watershed management plans and designating said waters
1.12as star lakes and rivers. The Star Lake Board may spend grant money received under
1.13this section only as provided in a work program approved by the commissioner of the
1.14Pollution Control Agency. The board shall include information on the results of the pilot
1.15program in its next biennial report under Minnesota Statutes, section 103B.702. This is
1.16a onetime appropriation.
