1.3appropriating money to the city of Minneapolis.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6$1,200,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $1,200,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated
1.7from the workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic
1.8development for a grant to the city of Minneapolis for grants to fund summer youth
1.9employment in Minneapolis. The grants shall be used to fund up to 500 jobs for youth
1.10each summer. Of this appropriation, $300,000 each year is available for a grant to the
1.11learn-to-earn summer youth employment program. The commissioner shall establish
1.12criteria for awarding the grants within the city of Minneapolis. This appropriation is
1.13available until spent.
