1.2relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of certain tax-forfeited land that
1.3borders public water.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATER; KOOCHICHING COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
1.8Koochiching County may sell the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described
1.9in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.
1.10(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
1.11general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
1.12(c) The land to be sold is located in Koochiching County and is described as:
1.13Beginning at the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 3, Township
1.14154, Range 25; thence about ten rods to the bank of Billy Creek; thence, in a northeasterly
1.15direction along Billy Creek to a point where Billy Creek intersects the east line of the
1.16Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 3, Township 154, Range 25; thence
1.17South 35 rods to the point of beginning (approximately 2.5 acres).
1.18(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
1.19best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
1.3borders public water.
