1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of certain tax-forfeited land that
1.3borders public water.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATER; BIG STONE COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
1.8Big Stone County may sell the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described
1.9in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.
1.10(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
1.11general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
1.12(c) The land to be sold is located in Big Stone County and is described as:
1.13(1) Lots 1 to 12, Block 3, Original Plat; and
1.14(2) Outlot 160, city of Ortonville.
1.15(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
1.16best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
