1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [473.8515] OPTING OUT OF LOCAL PLANNING.
1.7A local government unit otherwise required by provisions in this chapter to
1.8adopt a comprehensive plan or plan amendment may adopt a resolution not to adopt
1.9a comprehensive plan or plan amendment. The resolution takes effect only if approved
1.10by a majority of voters in the jurisdiction voting on the question, which may be posed
1.11only at a general election.
