1.2relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of certain tax-forfeited lands
1.3bordering public waters.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATERS; HENNEPIN COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45; 282.01, subdivision 1a; and
1.8282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter
1.9282, Hennepin County may convey to a governmental subdivision of the state for no
1.10consideration the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in paragraph
1.11(c).
1.12(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.13attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors
1.14and ensure accuracy. The conveyance must provide that the land reverts to the state if
1.15the governmental subdivision stops using the land as a flood plain and open space and
1.16for wetland mitigation purposes.
1.17(c) The land to be conveyed is located in Hennepin County and is described as: that
1.18part of Government Lot 3 lying South of the North 45 rods thereof and North of Nichols
1.19Shoreland and lying westerly of Magda Drive, Section 36, Township 119 North, Range 22
1.20West (Hennepin County tax identification no. 36-119-22 11 0004).
1.21(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would be
1.22best served if the land is conveyed to a governmental subdivision of the state for use as a
1.23flood plain and open space and for wetland mitigation purposes.
2.1 Sec. 2. CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
2.2WATERS; HENNEPIN COUNTY.
2.3(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45; 282.01, subdivision 1a; and
2.4282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter
2.5282, Hennepin County may convey to a governmental subdivision of the state for no
2.6consideration the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in paragraph
2.7(c).
2.8(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
2.9attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors
2.10and ensure accuracy. The conveyance must provide that the land reverts to the state if the
2.11governmental subdivision stops using the land for preservation of wetlands.

2.13Government Lot 1, Section 19, Township 120 North, Range 22 West (Hennepin County
2.14tax identification no. 19-120-22 22 0001).
2.15(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
2.16be best served if the land is conveyed to a governmental subdivision of the state for
2.17preservation of wetlands.
2.18 Sec. 3. CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
2.19WATERS; HENNEPIN COUNTY.
2.20(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45; 282.01, subdivision 1a; and
2.21282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter
2.22282, Hennepin County may convey to the city of Corcoran for no consideration the
2.23tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c).
2.24(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
2.25attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors and
2.26ensure accuracy. The conveyance must provide that the land reverts to the state if the city
2.27of Corcoran stops using the land for a recreational trail and for storm water ponding.
2.28(c) The land to be conveyed is located in Hennepin County and is described as:
2.29Outlot A, Lake Jubert Estates (Hennepin County tax identification no. 29-119-23 43 0008).
2.30(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
2.31be best served if the land is conveyed to the city of Corcoran for a recreational trail and
2.32for storm water ponding.
2.33 Sec. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
2.34Sections 1 to 3 are effective the day following final enactment.
