1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to game and fish; removing deer, moose, and elk stand height restrictions;
1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.325; repealing Minnesota
1.4Statutes 2010, sections 97B.511; 97B.515, subdivision 3.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.325, is amended to read:
1.797B.325 DEER STAND RESTRICTIONS.
1.8A person may not take deer from a constructed platform or other structure that is
1.9located within the right-of-way of an improved public highway or is higher than 16 feet
1.10above the ground. The height restriction does not apply to a portable stand that is chained,
1.11belted, clamped, or tied with rope.

1.12    Sec. 2. REPEALER.
1.13Minnesota Statutes 2010, sections 97B.511; and 97B.515, subdivision 3, are
1.14repealed.
