1.2relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to the
1.3Neighborhood Development Center.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER.
1.6$200,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $200,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated
1.7from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
1.8for a grant to the Neighborhood Development Center for developing and supporting
1.9entrepreneurial skills and job creation in communities served by the Neighborhood
1.10Development Center. Funds may be used for activities including, but not limited to:
1.11business plan training, business workshops, technical assistance to small business owners,
1.12development and support of business incubators, entrepreneurial network development,
1.13and the expansion of entrepreneurial capacity in communities.
