1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. ENERGY EFFICIENCY MODIFICATIONS; APPROPRIATION.
1.6$1,250,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2014 to the
1.7commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Morris
1.8for loans or grants to agricultural processing facilities for energy efficiency improvements.
1.9Funds available under this section shall be used to increase conservation and promote
1.10energy efficiency through retrofitting existing systems and installing new systems to recover
1.11waste heat from industrial processes and reuse energy. This appropriation is not available
1.12until the commissioner determines that at least $1,250,000 is committed to the project
1.13from nonpublic sources. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.
