1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for renovation at Northeast
1.3Higher Education District, Hibbing Community College; authorizing the sale
1.4and issuance of state bonds.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. NORTHEAST HIGHER EDUCATION DISTRICT, HIBBING
1.7COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
1.8 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $1,185,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.9fund to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for
1.10Northeast Higher Education District, Hibbing Community College, for the following
1.11purposes:
1.12(1) $545,000 is to design, renovate, furnish, and equip laboratory space; and
1.13(2) $640,000 is to design, construct, furnish, and equip solar array for energy-related
1.14programs and to design and renovate multiuse space.
1.15 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.16bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.17bonds of the state in an amount up to $1,185,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.18the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.19Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.20EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
