1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to liquor; limiting licenses for off-sale of intoxicating liquor to Minnesota
1.3residents; grandfathering current license holders; amending Minnesota Statutes
1.42013 Supplement, section 340A.402, by adding a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2013 Supplement, section 340A.402, is amended by
1.7adding a subdivision to read:
1.8    Subd. 1a. Off-sale licenses; Minnesota residents. (a) A license for the off-sale of
1.9intoxicating liquor may only be issued to a person who is a Minnesota resident.
1.10(b) This subdivision shall not apply to any person who holds a license for off-sale
1.11of intoxicating liquor as of June 30, 2014.

1.12    Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.13This act is effective July 1, 2014.
