1.2relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of certain tax-forfeited land.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; LAKE COUNTY.
1.5(a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282,
1.6or other law to the contrary, Lake County may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited land
1.7described in paragraph (c).
1.8(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
1.9general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
1.10(c) The land to be sold is located in Lake County and is described as: the Northeast
1.11Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section 19, Township 56 North, Range 9 West.
1.12(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
1.13best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
