1.2relating to natural resources; appropriating money for the Minnesota forests for
1.3the future program; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. MINNESOTA FORESTS FOR THE FUTURE PROGRAM;
1.6APPROPRIATION.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $5,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the commissioner of natural resources to acquire forest conservation easements
1.9and fee acquisition under the Minnesota forests for the future program, pursuant to
1.10Minnesota Statutes, section 84.66.
1.11 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond
1.12proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
1.13the state in an amount up to $5,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
1.14prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
1.15Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
