1.2relating to state government; prohibiting the state from purchasing products from
1.3Crystal Sugar Cooperative or its subsidiaries until a certain date.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PROHIBITION ON OBTAINING GOODS FROM CRYSTAL SUGAR
1.6COOPERATIVES.
1.7The state of Minnesota and its departments and agencies shall not purchase products
1.8from Crystal Sugar or its subsidiaries until Crystal Sugar or its subsidiaries ceases all
1.9alleged unfair labor practices, whether past or present, that are prohibited by the National
1.10Labor Relations Act and rescinds the lockout of the workers with the purpose of resuming
1.11negotiations resulting in a collective bargaining agreement.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
