1.2relating to state government; providing for accounting software development and
1.3updating;proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 6.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. [6.475] CITY AND TOWN ACCOUNTING SYSTEM SOFTWARE.
1.6(a) The state auditor may charge user fees to cities, towns, and other government
1.7entities for the development, maintenance, and distribution of the small city and town
1.8accounting system software.
1.9(b) A city and town accounting systems (CTAS) account is established in the special
1.10revenue fund.
1.11(c) Amounts received under paragraph (a) shall be credited to the CTAS account in
1.12the special revenue fund and are appropriated to the state auditor for all costs associated
1.13with the development, maintenance, and distribution of the small city and town accounting
1.14system software.
