1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [115B.446] SCHOOL BUILDINGS.
1.7Construction of a new school building on a permitted or unpermitted landfill site may
1.8not begin unless the commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency has conducted a review
1.9and determined any restrictions, conditions, or controls on the use of the real property. A
1.10school building may not be constructed on a permitted or unpermitted landfill site that the
1.11commissioner has deemed is unsuitable for use as a location for school buildings.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
