1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for improvements related to
1.3Trunk Highway 52 in Rochester; authorizing sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. TRUNK HIGHWAY 52 INTERCHANGE.
1.6 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $5,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to the city of Rochester to
1.8construct a folded-diamond interchange on Trunk Highway 52 at 65th Street NW, and
1.9full northbound and southbound auxiliary lanes on Trunk Highway 52 between 55th and
1.1065th Streets NW, to relocate the existing west frontage road north of 65th Street NW, and
1.11to reconstruct 65th Street NW from Trunk Highway 52 to the relocated west frontage
1.12road. This appropriation is not available until the commissioner has determined that it
1.13has been matched from nonstate sources.
1.14 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $5,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
