1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to transportation; appropriating money for trunk highway improvement;
1.3authorizing sale of trunk highway bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. APPROPRIATION; TRUNK HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Noise barrier. $400,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7account in the trunk highway fund to the commissioner of transportation for predesign,
1.8design, and construction of a noise barrier where not currently erected along marked
1.9Trunk Highway 10 starting east of Airport Road in Anoka County and extending to
1.10marked Interstate Highway 35W. This appropriation is in addition to any money currently
1.11obligated or agreed to be used by the commissioner for the noise barrier project.
1.12    Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated by subdivision 1 from the
1.13bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell
1.14and issue trunk highway bonds in an amount up to $400,000 in the manner, on the terms,
1.15and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 167.50 to 167.52, and
1.16by the Minnesota Constitution, article XIV, section 11, at the times and in the amounts
1.17requested by the commissioner of transportation. The proceeds of the bonds, except
1.18accrued interest and any premium received on the sale of the bonds, must be credited to
1.19the bond proceeds account in the trunk highway fund.
1.20EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
